Our History

SVWLOA was formed in 2018 to better serve the Hampton Roads growing lacrosse programs. We provide officiating services for girls' youth, high school and club programs in the surrounding cities of Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg and York County.  Our officials work with both competitive and recreational sports leagues and tournaments in the Tidewater area. We’ve turned our past experience and commitment to fair play into a well developed training regime for our members. Our organization provides training, certification, re-certification, and assessments for new and experienced officials who are responsible for promoting safety and sportsmanship for athletes of all ages and levels of competition.
